I havent been here in a while

Honestly, I dont believe Im ready to present my powerpoint. It seems as if Im not sure about the information I am presenting. I know that I have enough information, but I am just unsure as to what order to put it in and what to present. I will hopefully be ready to present tomorrow.

Nutrition/Obesity Terminology

Omega-3: a good-for-you healthy fatty acid usually found in foods such as fish and salmon.
Carbohydrate: energy component of a diet.
Sodium: the amount of salt that in a particular food.
Sedentary Lifestyle: a lifestyle with little or no physical activity that includes sitting, reading and watching TV for most of the day.
Healthy Lifestyle: having the right amount of healthy food along with exercise to maintain your body’s health.
Physical activity: any activity that causes your body to work harder than normal.
Saturated Fat: fat that consists of triglycerides containing only saturated fatty acid radicals.
Trans-Fats: name for a type of unsaturated fat with trans-isomer fatty acid(s). Trans fats may be monounsaturated or polyunsaturated but never saturated.
BMI: Body Mass Index- the relationship between weight and height that is associated with body fat and health risk.
Monosaturated Fat: fatty acids that have a single double bond in the fatty acid chain and all of the remainder of the carbon atoms in the chain are single-bonded.
Polyunsaturated Fat: That is a fatty acid in which more than one double bond exists within the representative molecule.
Nutrition : the process of absorbing nutrients from food and processing them in the body in order to keep healthy or to grow.
Obesity: a medical condition in which excess body fat has accumulated on the body and can lead to a shorter life expectancy and diseases such as diabetes and hypertension.
Diet: a controlled intake of food.
Calorie: a measurement of energy in food.
