I havent been here in a while

Honestly, I dont believe Im ready to present my powerpoint. It seems as if Im not sure about the information I am presenting. I know that I have enough information, but I am just unsure as to what order to put it in and what to present. I will hopefully be ready to present tomorrow.

Im Back and Better than ever

Im glad to be back in school getting this graduation project done once and for all. I have made a signifigant amount of progress during the break. I have my action plans in store and my interviews coming along. My action plans are.... going to be revealed in the presentation. I dont want to spoil the suprise. Im doing an interview with a lady via email and im trying to interview 2 more people who are going to be involved with my action plan. I really think I can pull this off now. All it took was some patience and cooperation.

So it been a while....

As of this date, I still have no one to interview or a clear action plan. Ive been making calls, emailing and nothing seems to be going my way. Then I found this organization called Kidshape and Ive been emailing them but every time I call, they never answer. Hopefully they respond and I can work with them. I have also trying to contact Highmark, but they said they couldnt help me. Why cant anything go my way???? WHY?

Things May not always go as you planned

As of now, I have my webliography done, my proposal done and I am working on interview questions. I am also working on notes to obtain information to answer my foundation questions. I still need an action plan even though I have an idea of what I want to do. Also, I need a person to interview so that I can get moving on with my project. I feel as though I am falling behind, so I have to pick up the pace or I am going to feel it in the long run. Right now, I just need to focus on one thing at a time and just go with it. I feel as though I am focusing on too many things and not putting my best effort into it. So I just have to relax, but move fast. Now.

Let's Get Goin

I have just started to answer some questions that is going to help me to start writing my proposal. I have really thinking about why I really am doing my project on this and starting to write this proposal is a good start. I feel as though I am going in a positive direction with this project, but havent made any contact with any organizations, so I kind of feel behind in that department, but everything else couldnt be better. Also, I finished my webliography and had 12 good sources and I am moving on

Did you know that....

16 percent of children (over 9 million) 6-19 years old are overweight or obese -- a number that has tripled since 1980.

Nearly one-third of U.S. Children aged 4 to 19 eat fast food every day, resulting in approximately six extra pounds per year, per child.

Since the 1980s childhood obesity has been on the rise in the United States and has become a major health issue.

Over the past three decades the childhood obesity rate has more than doubled for preschool children aged 2-5 years and adolescents aged 12-19 years, and it has more than tripled for children aged 6-11 years

An alarming nine million children over the age of six are considered obese in this country.

An obese adolescent has a 70% chance of being an obese adult

obese children are more at risk for diseases when they become adults This includes heart disease, cancer, and diabetes

A recent study estimated annual medical spending due to overweight and obesity to be as much as $92.6 billion in 2002 dollars—9.1 percent of U.S. health expenditures.

Its Webliography Time

I have found some sources that I can use for my foundation questions. I feel confident enough in the websites that I have to answer them fully. Now I am organizing all of my sources and putting them into easybib.com and to import them into a Microsoft Word Document so that I have a full webliography. I only have a few sources completed in easybib.com and I am working on completing them. I really feel as though I am moving on in the right direction with my project.

I recently blogged and said that I was thinking about 2 topics. Now I have found a way to combine them to have something that I want to do my graduation project on. I have also been looking at local organizations that are involved in this topic. I have found some new links on my topic.

My first post

8.

a. I have heard that the graduation project is long and difficult, but not really hard if you do something in which you are really interested in. I also heard that the presentation process is really long and you have to be the most professional you have ever been. The graduation project is a combination of what you have learned all throughout your years of learning.

b. I actually have a few of ideas about my graduation project. I think I may want to do mine on either nutrition or childhood obesity because both topics are important to me

c. Some concerns that I have about my graduation project are getting an action and getting people to interview
